Keeping my head...
The other day I lost 4 in a row. Rather than get stubborn this time. I quit. I really like to finish with a win whether or not it was a winning session. This time I quit. I came back after a few hours and played a match and won. So I quit for the day. Down 3 buyins. Over the next few days I've made that back plus a couple bucks. I've been keeping my head. Trying to play each match instead of "a session". So far it's working for me. I should be playing this way always. Each hand, each match. Hmmm have I learned something??

Vacation and downfall
Well, I've been on vacation and doing a lot of house work, therefore I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like. I'm just getting back into a "regularish" amount of play. I did screw the pooch big time though. I got emotional and pissed away my entire online bankroll. I just ran into shit luck and massive suck outs and everything you could think of including being my own worst enemy. I really had to take another few days off and analyze what went wrong. In the end... it was ME. Plain and simple. Hopefully, I won't make that mistake again. It was very costly. What happened you ask? Well, for starters I was just too tired to play even though I wanted to. Then after several bad beats I got stubborn and lost mind. Out of anger and frustration I sat at a $50 and then $20 and lost both. Pissed away my bank and had to reload. Yes I feel like a schmuck. But I did learn something from it. I've devised a checklist to see if I should even fire up the game or not. It should keep me from being such a schmuck in the future. Now to grind my bank back and beyond.

Another good 3
Went 3 and 0 in a short session before work. Can 3 games be called a "session"? Any way one really crazy game come back win. I was just completely card dead. 73 72 84 93 etc. Got chipped away at pretty easily and was crippled most of the match. Pretty much said screw it and shoved whenever I caught playable cards. Q9s, KT etc it all worked out. Won a couple all-ins. Caught AA that held followed up by KJs that won the match. It was pretty screwy. Overall, probably caught about 10 what might be called decent hands. It's not how many pots. It's the pots that count.
Playing well.
Still playing well since my fall. Steadily grinding the $2SNGs. Since my fall I've gone 20 and 10 over 3 sessions. The volume is going to taper off for a week since I have to go back on my work rotation. I should still be able to fit in a few games here and there. Starting to learn the Nash/sage stuff to help with my endgame play. Had a pretty sick cooler. Had a guy down to 4 big blinds and lost. I think I get a little antsy trying to end the game and it costs me chips and sometimes the game. I'll get it figured out though. Just a matter of time.

Made some back
Playing the $2 stakes. Made about 6 dollars back. Really slowed down my play. Maybe too slow in some cases. I got stacked by 52 because I didn't raise my AK. Lesson learned. I will always raise my AK. Otherwise, very happy with my play compared to last night.
I just know you guys are impressed with my 6 bucks!!!

WELCOME TO MY POKER BLOG
Hey all,
I decided to start a poker blog so you could follow my climb up the poker ladder, if you so desire. I'm currently a losing play so I thought it may be interesting for some to follow my progress, as well as a place to keep myself mentally accountable and participate in forums and blogs. I'm getting training at http://www.tagpoker.co.uk/. I've been a member of the site for a few months and things overall are going well. At this current moment not so much. Last night I went 16W and 30L at the $5 stakes. Not a good result at all. Though I felt I played well, I went back to Tagpoker and watched some videos and found a lot of mistakes. I was actually all over the place as far as my game went. I was making horrible calls, when I knew I was beat, I was playing cards regardless of position and stack size. I was playing my cards only and not playing the player. I should also briefly mention the massive suck-outs that came against me. So I dumped about half my bankroll. I'm going to drop back to the $2 stakes until I get back on my game. Current ROI is -10.71% after last night. I was about 1% to the good before I got ahead of myself. So anything you'd like to know just post.
See you at the tables.
